PROformance 16
Extremely versatile in its application, PROformance 16 is a richly fortified, complete textured grain concentrate designed for performance horses, mares, foals and weanlings to yearlings. In addition to steamed, rolled grains, which greatly increase digestibility, PROformance 16 contains essential macro- and micro-nutrients in their most digestible form, as chelates and proteinates, to support a strong skeletal system, stimulate the immune system and promote good health.
- A coarse textured grain concentrate, often referred to as “sweet feed”
- For lactating mares and as a creep feed for foals prior to weaning
- Formulated with high fat concentration (5%) to increase energy to support performance and improve hair coat
- Fortified with essential macro minerals, vitamins and trace minerals to support a strong skeletal system, stimulate the immune system and promote health
- High vitamin E level for strong foals at birth and reduced incidence of developmental orthopedic disease (DOD)
- Fortified with all-natural vitamin E, the most highly digestible form
- Copper, zinc and manganese and iron are supplemented from proteinated form --- the form of greatest digestibility
- A blend of cane molasses and good-grade vegetable oil improves texture, palatability and energy content
- Pellets included in Producer Feeds’ textured feeds are manufactured in “mini-pellet” form to reduce sorting and waste
- Includes a mycotoxin binder to “trap or bind” toxins produced by molds. Toxins are expelled via manure and are never absorbed into the bloodstream
- Only U.S. Number 2 corn is used by Producer Feeds --- damaged grain or corn screenings are not permitted in the plant
- Oats used at Producer Feeds must exceed United State Department of Agriculture Number 2 standards. All oats are recleaned, aspirated and screened to remove any impurities prior to use.

Feeding Directions
When Producer PROformance 16 is fed according to the table below, no additional vitamin, mineral or protein supplements are needed. Producer 12% Horse Feed is recommended for pregnant mares and mature inactive horses.
Begin creep feeding foals at 3 months of age at a rate of 1 lb. per month of age. At weaning, foals should be consuming 4-6 lbs. of feed daily. After weaning, gradually increase the feeding rate by eight months of age to 8 lbs. a day depending on body condition, desired growth rate and forage quality.
Feed with liberal quantities of good quality hay and/or pasture and free choice salt. Provide clean, fresh water at all times. Store feed in a clean, dry place protected from insects and rodents. Never feed moldy or insect-infested feed, as it may cause illness, abortion or death.
