Pro 14 Body Builder

Body Builder is a richly fortified complete textured grain concentrate that is extremely versatile in it’s application.  Body Builder is designed for performance, mares and foals over 14 months old.  The inclusion of steamed rolled grains greatly increases digestibility,  with vitamins and minerals in proteinate form to support a strong skeletal system, stimulate the immune system, and promote good health.

  • Formulated with a high fat content (5%) to increase energy, support performance, and improve hair coat
  • Contains high vitamin E level to produce strong foals at birth and reduce incidence of developmental orthopedic disease (DOD)
  • Fortified with all-natural vitamin E, the most highly digestible form
  • A blend of cane molasses and food-grade vegetable oil is added to benefit texture, improve palatability, and increase energy content
  • Pellets included in Producer Feeds textured feeds are manufactured in 1/8-inch “mini-pellet” form to reduce sorting in the feed bowl by horses
  • Fortified with yeast culture to improve digestibility of grain and forage allowing the horse to get more nutritional value from its feed
  • Includes a mycotoxin binder to “trap or bind” toxins produced by molds.  Toxins are expelled via manure and are never absorbed into the bloodstream
  • All grains used in Producer Feeds’ products are screened upon receipt to remove any impurities prior to use in manufacturing
  • Only U.S. Number 2 corn is used by Producer Feeds; damaged grain or corn screenings are not permitted in the plant
  • Oats used at Producer Feeds must exceed U.S. Department of  Agriculture Number 2 standards.  All oats are recleaned, aspirated, and screened to remove any impurities prior to use

Feeding Directions

Additional protein, vitamin, or mineral supplements are not needed when fully fortified Producer Body Builder is feed as directed. Feed with liberal quantities of good quality hay and/or pasture and free-choice salt.

Yearlings and Two-year Olds  Feed at a rate of 0.75 to 1.50% of body weight per day or to 8–12 lbs/day for most light horses. Adjust feed intake up or down according to body condition and desired growth rate, and forage quality and availability.

Mares Barren and early-pregnant mares should consume 8–10 lbs/day when using poor quality forage and intake of Body Builder decreased when good quality forage is available. Late pregnant mares should be fed 8–10 lbs/day plus liberal quantities of good quality forage. Feed lactating mares 8–12 lbs/day along with liberal quantities of good hay and/or pasture depending on body condition and milk production. With poor quality forage, use Producer Horse Pow’r 16% or Horse H 16%.

Performance Horses Feed 0.75-1.50% of body weight per day (8-12 pounds per day for most light horses) depending on work intensity, body condition, and quality of forage available. Adjust feed intake to maintain desirable body condition.
